Where to find us?

The Šentviška Gora Plateau is a broad subalpine plateau that rises between the Bača Gorge, the Idrijca Valley, and the Cerkno Hills. Administratively it is part of the Municipality of Tolmin, which lies in the northern Littoral area of western Slovenia.

How to get to the Šentviška Gora Plateau?
You can reach the plateau from more than one direction:

  • Along the main road between Tolmin and Idrija. Driving from Tolmin or Idrija, you arrive at the inn in the village of Slap ob Idrijci, where a sign with the names of the three major villages on the plateau or the name Šentviška Gora directs you to the Šentviška Gora Plateau;

  • You can also get to the plateau from the Selca Valley across the Petrovo Brdo Pass and then through the Bača Gorge to the village of Klavže. From there, continue across the bridge over the Bača River to the other side, where a winding road takes you to Logaršče, the first village on the Šentviška Gora Plateau.
